Tony Palmer once again demonstrated his commitment to
the Dallas marketing community by devoting numerous
hours behind the scenes building out the 2009 CMO
Executive Summit. Tony delivered the Summit's mission
statement before the private dinner and breakfast keynote
addresses.
Ron Askew, CEO of TracyLocke, took the stage
to introduce Rita Bargerhuff, the Summit's
opening keynote speaker. As a key strategic
partner to several Governing Body members,
TracyLocke has supported the Dallas CMO Executive Summit from the very start.
Rita Bargerhuff, VP of Marketing for 7-Eleven, kicked off
the 2009 Dallas CMO Executive Summit with the keynote
presentation Partnering for Success in a Turbulent Market.
Per direct feedback from the Governing Body, many of the
day's sessions focused on strategies being deployed in
these tough economic times.
Tom Dixon, Kimberly Clark's Director of Global Marketing Operations, gave
a well crafted and timely presentation on Using
Brand Value to Thrive in Tough Times. Tom's
presentation was a crowd favorite.
Jim Compton, EVP of Marketing for Continental Airlines,
lent some of his valuable time to fly up from Houston and
share some lessons learned from the airline industry
during these challenging times.
Steven Woods, Founder & CTO of Eloqua, took the stage to share some
content from his new book, Digital Body
Language. Eloqua's participation was made
possible by a nomination Jim Arnold, VP
Marketing, CompuCom, who considers Eloqua
to be an invaluable strategic partner.
Jeff Cole, the Director for USC Annenberg's Center for the
Digital Future, literally wowed the audience with his closing
keynote presentation Digital Changes Everything. Jeff's
relaxed style coupled with his presentation of cutting-edge
research delivered one of the highest rated presentations
ever at any CMO Executive Summit.
Ellie Mitchell, Javelin's SVP & GM accepts a

Chair Rick Zuroweste, SVP & CMO of Dean
Foods. Javelin's President, Greg Banks, gave
a presentation earlier in the day entitled The
Full Potential of Marketing.
